Ambleside is a small but internationally recognised tourist town in the Lake District, located at the northern end of Lake Windermere. Its spectacular setting among mountains, lakes and wooded valleys has made it one of Cumbria's most popular destinations for generations. The town combines a historic centre with a large tourism industry serving visitors exploring the national park.
