Cannock is a market town in Staffordshire situated immediately north of Birmingham and Wolverhampton and on the edge of Cannock Chase. The town grew substantially during the Industrial Revolution as coal mining became the dominant local industry. Although the mines have closed, their influence remains an important part of Cannock's heritage.
