Charlestown of Aberlour, commonly known simply as Aberlour, is a small town in Moray situated on the River Spey in the heart of Speyside. The settlement developed in the nineteenth century as an agricultural and trading centre and became increasingly associated with whisky production. Its location beside the River Spey and the surrounding wooded countryside give it a particularly attractive setting.
